Walking is simple, free and one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and become healthier. It's an underrated form of exercise, but walking is ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels who want to be more active. Regular walking has been shown to reduce the risk of chronic illnesses, such as:
type 2 diabetes
even some cancers!
How to join
Join our walking group is easy, just turn up at the practice at 10.30am on a Wednesday; we meet every Wednesday (rain or shine!) and walk for approximately an hour. All ages are welcome, joining a walking group helps keep you motivated, meet new people and stay active! If you would like any more information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org at the practice, you can do this by email, calling or coming in.
