Confidentiality statement

In the course of their employment or associated work with the Practice, staff may have access to, see or hear, confidential information concerning the medical or personal affairs of patients, staff or associated healthcare professionals. Unless acting on the instructions of an authorised officer within the practice, on no account should such information be divulged or discussed, except in the performance of their normal duties. Breach of confidence, including the improper passing of registered computer data, will result in disciplinary action, which may lead to dismissal.

In addition, all records, including VDU screens and computer printouts of registered data, will never be left in such a manner that unauthorised persons can obtain access to them. VDU screens must always be cleared when left unattended and staff must ensure that they log out of computer systems, removing their password. All computer passwords are kept confidential.

No unauthorised use of the Internet or email is allowed.

Information concerning patients or staff is strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to unauthorised persons. This obligation shall continue in perpetuity.

Disclosures of confidential information or disclosures of any data of a personal nature can result in prosecution or an offence under the Data Protection Act 1998 or an action for civil damages under the same Act in addition to any disciplinary action taken by the Practice.

  • Walk with us, join our Walking Group!

    Walking is simple, free and one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and become healthier. It's an underrated form of exercise, but walking is ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels who want to be more active. Regular walking has been shown to reduce the risk of chronic illnesses, such as:

    • heart disease
    • type 2 diabetes
    • asthma
    • stroke
    • even some cancers!

    How to join
    Join our walking group is easy, just turn up at the practice at 10.30am on a Wednesday; we meet every Wednesday (rain or shine!) and walk for approximately an hour. All ages are welcome, joining a walking group helps keep you motivated, meet new people and stay active! If you would like any more information, please contact Luthfur at the practice, you can do this by email, calling or coming in.

    Public holidays for 2016-2017 are as detailed. Please note that the practice will be closed on these dates.

    • 29 August - summer bank holiday Monday
    • 25 December - Christmas Day
    • 26 December - Boxing Day

    Emergency out-of-hours advice
    If you need urgent medical assistance and you cannot wait until the surgery reopens please call 0207 377 7151.

    Please allow extra time for your prescription during the those time. Please take into account we will not be able to process your request until the surgery re-opens, so collection of the requested prescription will be delayed.
